Two Injured in High-Speed Crash in Tustin

At approximately 10:50 PM the Tustin Police responded to a 911 call of a suspected car crash initially reported as a loud “boom”.

Officers located a single vehicle with two occupants at the 2800 block of Edinger. The vehicle had come to a rest upside down after impacting several trees and a building.

The two occupants were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Involvement of drugs or alcohol is not currently suspected, but speed was cited as a factor.

According to Sergeant Laurich of the Tustin Police Department, both occupants are expected to survive and drugs and alcohol were not a contributing factor to the crash. An unloaded pistol was located in the vehicle and was in the lawful possession of the driver.

Two firefighters inspect the remains of a barely-recognizable car.
